Why? Why is it so freakin' difficult to get a straight answer out of some computer people? All I want to know is what kind of RAM my computer will take and what kind of processor will work well in it. That's it. Nothing more, nothing less. You would not believe how freakin' hard it is to find out this information. I've contacted people on E-bay who have told me to call IBM who have tried to sell me a stick of 256 RAM PC100 for $299.00. And the guy said that that was cheap! I found the same thing after looking and looking and looking for around $70.00. IBM told me to not even upgrade the processor. I'm gonna anyways! I just wish people would just give the right information to poeple like me who only have a small clue about the big picture. That shouldn't be too hard, should it?

New Computer Woes
Hey, all! I am having the craziest luck trying to decide what to do about buying a new computer before the new semester starts! I don't know whether to go laptop or desktop. I own a laptop already and it does fine for the stuff that I need it to do now but I (this is embarrassing!) have a game that just barely runs on the laptop. I can either buy a refurbished laptop that has the required stuff to run it or I can upgrade the computer that I have now (both options will run about the same price) or I can buy a more powerful desktop with one of those cool flat screens and leave it at home and transfer my game over to the desktop. Now, if I decide to go desktop, that brings in the questions of where to purchase it, what stuff to get on it, and so on and so forth. I know that I would rather have another laptop because they don't take up as much room but I also know that desktops are cheaper and more powerful. My ever cool computer people that I took my computers to (Thanks very much for all the help that you gave me Custom Mirco Computers!) decided to move and not leave any forwarding information. But, I'll just have to get over that. I have some co-workers who know alot about computers so I might ask them. Be prepared, Evilgenuises, be very prepared! More on this to come.

Introduction to GeekSpeek
Welcome to the first posting of GeekSpeek! I am fairly new at this so bare with me as I get the ball rolling on being able to post anything related to the Geek in all of us. I thought of this while I attended the wedding of a friend of mine who was my first real venture into the world of Geek. Congratulations Wil and Maxlea! My world would probably be very different if I had not met you two. This meeting with Wil then led me to other friends. Joty, Charity, Sean, Denise, Al, Little D, Morris, Kenny, Karen, Gary, JV, James, James (Junior), Drew, Leah, Mark, Timmy, Tim (E), Amanda, Gypsy, Amanda (Ambrose), Adam, Josh, everyone at Hastings Mt. Home that I am probably going to forget to mention in here!, Jay, Bethany, Brian (Staub), and everyone else that knows me at least a little bit that I am forgetting to mention. (I am horrible at remembering names unless I am around people all the time. It's a fault, I know, but I'm not perfect!)
Now, don't get that these are all my friends. These are just the ones who have been exposed to the geek speaking me! These are the people that I roleplay/game/larp with or have on a regular basis. I have other friends that are just normal people that don't have a clue what a roleplaying game is! It's sad, I know, but true.
So, as I venture further into the world of GeekSpeek, I look foward to reading all that everyone has to say about it. Feel free to leave your thoughts, comments, whatever.
You can also visit me on these following DAMN FINE websites!

Just two more ways you can enjoy the geek in me and see what I'm about. A little bit at least!
